A Princess Cruises ship crashed into the dock at Pier 27 in San Francisco Thursday morning, officials said.
The Ruby Princess ship “made unexpected contact” while docking at Pier 27 shortly after 6 a.m., Princess Cruises spokeswoman Negin Kamali said. None of the passengers or crew members on board were injured, she said.
There were more than 3,300 guests and over 1,100 crew members on board at the time of the crash. The ship arrived from a 10-day round-trip cruise to Alaska that left San Francisco on June 26, Kamali said.
Officials are assessing the damage to the ship and pier, she said.

HSI police watch the Ruby Princess cruise ship at Pier 27 on the Embarcadero Thursday in San Francisco. Officials reported that there were no injuries to passengers or crew members.
Felix Uribe/Special to The ChronicleA spokesperson for the Port of San Francisco referred The Chronicle to Princess Cruises officials for comment.
Kamali said any delays or changes for the Ruby Princess voyage, scheduled to depart at 4 p.m. Thursday for Alaska, were “still being determined.”
