Ram 1500 hit with another great quality problem

According to NHTSA, software errors can occur when the engine is turned off. If a data module is not properly reset, the airbags and seat belt biasing means do not work properly in a collision. A warning light on the instrument panel may light if a truck experiences this problem.

As many as 295,981 units of the 2019 Ram 1500 were affected by the problem in the United States along with 38,884 in Canada, 1,817 in Mexico and 6,154 outside the NAFTA region. Another 26 examples of the 2020 truck are also included, but these are in FCA's possession.
