Publix publishes voluntary recall of deli cheese

LAKELAND, Fla. ̵[ads1]1; Publix has released a voluntary recall of its Publix Deli white American cheese because the merchants believe it may contain foreign material.

The recall was issued on Friday for cheese sold between October 3 and 11.

The merchant says the cheese is potentially sold in under-sandwiches and refrigerators located in the deli section of Publix stores.

"As part of our commitment to food safety, potentially impacted product has been removed from all store shelves," said Maria Brous, Publix's director of media and community relations. "Customers who purchased the particular product or customized subscriptions made with that product can return the product to their local store for a full refund. Publix customers with additional questions can call our customer service department at 1-800-242-1227 or visit our website at www.publix.com " WJAX Apps ” src=”https://mediaweb.actionnewsjax.com/photo/2019/03/18/New_ANJ_App_Banner_14776043_ver1.0.jpg”/>
