Most industrial designers are not household names. It is not often that we know the name of the person responsible for monitoring the design of products we use and love.
But with some of Apple's most iconic products, we can easily assign a name and a face to the person working behind the scenes to make them renew: Jony Ive.
Because we only know Ive as Apple's chief designer, much of his work outside Apple is not so well known. It turns out that when I hadn't designed iPhones, iPods, and Macs, he made some pretty unusual things, many of which you would never expect.
Can you picture Ive design a toilet, for example? Well, he did.
