Powerball winner Edwin Castro buys other lavish homes

$2 billion California Powerball winner Edwin Castro has bought a $4 million California mansion after dropping $25.5 million on a lavish Hollywood Hills estate earlier this month.

The 30-year-old claimed the winning ticket last month and received a one-off payout of $997.6 million.

Castro quickly purchased the sprawling bachelor pad, crafted as an “entertainer̵[ads1]7;s dream,” as it includes a game room, wine cellar, movie theater, bar and luxury gym.

The California native recently boosted his real estate portfolio once again, buying a $4 million mansion in his hometown of Altadena — a short distance from the gas station where he bought his Powerball winnings.

His new Japanese-inspired pad is shielded from the public by olive trees and has a stunning unobstructed view of the San Gabriel Mountains, dirt.com reported.

The listing describes the 1953-built, five-bedroom, four-bathroom house as modern with a Japanese influence. It has high ceilings, crisp white walls and minimalist light fixtures that are perfect for displaying an art collection.

Castro has bought two California mansions since winning the Powerball.

The home’s living room has a fireplace, while the dining kitchen is equipped with Thermador appliances. Over the entire property there is a fantastic view of the garden and the mountain peaks.

Two of the five bedrooms have been reconfigured to function as an art studio and a soundproof cinema room.

As you step outside the U-shaped home, there is a pond, patio and saltwater pool. The property can park more than a dozen cars off-street in a detached two-car garage and separate covered carport.

The first house Castro bought after his great victory has five bedrooms, five bathrooms and two toilets. The 13,500 square feet of living space boasts panoramic views of Downtown LA to Century City.

The space also includes a gym, cold plunge pool, wind cellar, cinema and sauna.

Castro’s latest purchase is not far from the Altadena gas station where he bought the winning ticket.

Exterior features include an infinity pool, a spa, two fire pits and a built-in barbecue area.

Castro came forward more than three months after buying the winning ticket at an Altadena gas station, and his winnings were announced Feb. 14 by California Lottery officials.
