Brian Howerton said the incident happened around 11:15 on Thursday. His family came home around 3:30 pm to find their dog, Blue, cut up and bloody.
Howerton said they couldn't figure out what happened to Blue before they noticed that a package had been delivered in the driveway.
"The mail boat ran over our dog and had absolutely no regrets!"
Howerton said the woman in the video is not their normal carrier. She may be heard shouting at both dogs during her time delivering the package to Howertons.
Blue and Bear are both Labradors. Howerton calls them "good, good dogs" who all come with the family's normal mail carrier, FedEx and UPS drivers that bring goodies.
He said they have shock cases so they don't come out of the property but were right outside to enjoy the warm weather on Valentine's Day.
The family made a report with the sheriff's office after watching the video. They also called the post office, but were told to call back on Tuesday to talk to the postmaster about the incident.
