I THINK IT’S MORE THAN. Oh, HEY. GOOD MORNING EVERYONE. WE ARE ACTUALLY JUST IN CRISIS. I MADE THE GOOD PIZZA OR THE UGLY PIZZA, SO I DON’T REALLY KNOW WHAT THE ANSWER IS, BUT THEY BOTH REALLY TASTE YOU. JEREMY? JEREMY, CAN YOU PULL THESE OFF? WE WILL FINISH THEM WITH A WARM HONEY. SO YOUR DEAL, THE $9 LOUISVILLE PIZZA WEEK SPECIAL IS ACTUALLY NEW ON THE MENU, RIGHT? IT IS. IT’S OUR THIN CRUST. WE ARE OFFERING IT FOR A DOLLAR THIS WEEK AND IT WILL BE ON OUR NEW THIN CRUST WHICH WILL BE AVAILABLE ON THE MENU FROM NOVEMBER 21st. IT LOOKS AWESOME TO DO. Cut THIS THEN GOING TO CUT THIS HERE. OK, THIS IS ALWAYS SO IMPRESSIVE TO ME, ESPECIALLY HOW FAST THESE PIZZAS COME OUT. HOW DO YOU LIKE THIS PIZZA JEREMY? I LIKE IT. IT’S A LITTLE LIGHTER THAN OUR USUAL CRUST CHOICE. NOT NECESSARILY A CAR-FREE CHOICE, BUT IT’S DEFINITELY EASIER. OK, THAT LOOKS VERY, VERY GOOD. I STILL. JEREMY DOESN’T KNOW WHICH ONE IS MINE. THEY BOTH PRETTY GOOD, THOUGH, DON’T YOU THINK? THEY LOOK GREAT WHEN I ASK MY FRIEND PAULA TO POINT OUT WHICH WAS WHICH, BUT WE COULDN’T IDENTIFY. I THOUGHT SHE WAS TRYING TO GIVE IT TO ME JUST TO BE HER AGAINST ME. SO WE GO OUT TO THE DINING. YOU’RE ALSO LAUNCHING THIS SO PEOPLE CAN GET A TASTE OF LIKE A NEW MENU, RIGHT? ABSOLUTELY. SO, AS I SAID, FROM THE 21ST OF NOVEMBER WE ARE RELEASING OUR NEW MENU. YOU CAN GET A TEN OR A 14 INCH THIN CRUST PIZZA TOO. SOME SOME GREAT NEW GRINDER SANDWICHES, MANY NEW THINGS TO OFFER. AND I’M HERE TRYING TO OPEN THE HOT HONEY, THIS IS THE LAST STEP ON THIS PIZZA, RIGHT? IT WILL JUST GO SIDE TO SIDE. SIDE TO SIDE. OK. AND OH, WE HAVE HAD A HEAVY OVER THIS. I LIKE IT. ALL THE HONEY TALKED TO ME ABOUT THE FLAVOR OF THE WARM HONEY COMING OUT SO THE WARM HONEY HAS DEFINITELY GOT A LITTLE KICK TO IT GIVING IT A LITTLE SWEET TASTE AND. THE PEPPERONIA ADDS SMALLNESS, SO IT’S SWEETLY SALTED WITH A BIT OF SMARTNESS TO IT. AND SO WHY WOULD YOU JOIN LOUISVILLE PIZZA WEEK? ONLY WE WANT TO GET OUT THERE. YOU KNOW WE HAVE FOUR LOCAL LOCATIONS. WE HAVE TWO IN NEW ALBANY, TWO IN LOUISVILLE. AND EVERYONE DOES IT RIGHT. ABSOLUTELY. OMG. IT’S A GOOD DEAL. AND WHEN WILL THE NEW MENU LAUNCH? NOVEMBER 21. OK. I THINK WE NEED A PIECE OF THIS PIZZA. RIGHT. GO FOR IT. LET’S DO IT. OK. Oh, GOSH. OK. HAVE IT. Oh, GOSH. OH MY GOD. I HOLD IT FOR YOU. HOW ARE YOU? I’M JUST GONNA TAKE THIS CRUSH. THERE WE GO. Popular restaurant in Jeffersontown is closing and reopening as Parlor Pizza and Pints
A popular pizza joint in Jeffersontown is changing ownership and getting a major makeover, but it will remain pizza-focused. Craft Culture Concepts, the parent company of Parlor Pizza and Pints, announced Sunday that it has purchased the 30-year-old Chubby Ray’s restaurant in J-Town. They will reopen the pizza restaurant as Parlor’s fifth location this spring. After three decades in business, “Chubby” Ray Perkins has decided to “turn the page on a new chapter,” according to a press release. Parlour’s parent company did not specify a date for when it will reopen under its new concept, but it said it would retain any current employees who choose to stay with the brand. It posted a video on social media about its excitement about the new location. Perkins also released a statement announcing the news. You can see it below. Perkins recently ran for mayor of Jeffersontown in the November election. He lost his bid for the office to incoming Mayor Carol Pike. Chubby Ray’s is located at 3910 Ruckriegel Parkway in J-Town. For those looking to hit the eatery as it has been known, Chubby Ray’s will officially close in one week on Sunday, January 29th. It is closed on Mondays but will be operating from 11am to 9pm Tuesday to Thursday and 11am to 11pm for its final days on Saturday and Sunday.
