The products that were recalled were boiled chicken products that were produced on March 21, the agency said in a statement. The product label told consumers to use it by May 20.
The products include: Perdue Simply Smart Organics-wide chicken breast tender, Perdue Simply Smart Organics chicken breast nipple and Perdue Simply Smart breaded chicken breast strips. The recall also included bulk boxes with Chef Quik chicken offerings, boneless tender-shaped chicken breast patties with rib meat and bulk boxes with Chef Quik chicken breast strips shaped bread chicken breast patties with ribbed meat.

The products were shipped to dealers nationwide. The problem of cooked chicken products was discovered after consumer complaints. FSIS said it was concerned that some consumers put the product in the freezer and encouraged them not to eat it.

"Reports of side effects due to consumption of these products have not been confirmed.
