The beverage company, founded in New Bern, North Carolina, announced its environmental plan Friday.

So early in 2020, Pepsis Aquafina water will be sold in aluminum cans at restaurants. The company is still working on details on deployment to the stores.
Plastic waste rises. Experts have said there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish by 2050, according to WTVD.
"Tackling plastic waste is one of my main priorities, and I take that challenge personally," said PepsiCo director Ramon Laguarta in a statement. "We do our part to solve the head problem by reducing, recycling and reinventing our packaging."
Pepsi has not made any plans to get rid of plastic bottles. But it said it has promised to make new plastic bottles that use 25% recycled material.
