Owner of Chick-fil-A fights back
TOLEDO The owner of two local Chick-fil-A restaurants is fighting back against a national article showing that the fast food chain has the slowest drive through.
The study was done by QSR Magazine. Here's a look at the characters: The fastest was Dunkin 'with a drive through about 3 minutes and 36 seconds. Wendy's, Burger King and Taco Bell were among some of the others with the fastest times. But at the bottom: Chick-file-A with an average time of 5 minutes and 24 seconds.
However, this is not the case locally. Justin Amburgery owns the Chick-fil-A locations at Spring Meadows and at Central and McCord. He says his location on Spring Meadows is the second in the 2000 Chick-fil-A drive-thru's for speed and efficiency. The location handles over 200 cars per lunch rush between 1[ads1]2 noon and one o-clock, moving cars through an average of 3 minutes and 38 seconds.
