Ousted CBS CEO Les Moonves said to start his next venture in Hollywood
Ousted CBS CEO Les Moonves runs a new company, and his former employer pays for office space, The New York Times reports.
In December, CBS Moonves quit after a dozen women accused him of sexual defaults. As one of the most powerful figures in the media, Moonves begins his second act by leading a new venture, Moon Rise Unlimited, out of one of West Hollywood's tallest buildings, The Times says.
It is unclear what the new company is doing, but the office event is unusual, provided Moonves is currently taking a fight arbitration over his CBS departure package, Moonves believes he was wrongly terminated, and CBS concluded that there were grounds to burn him to the ground ̵[ads1]1; thus denying a departure package of $ 120 million.
The position is that Moonves & # 39; agreement with CBS assumes that the company must pay for Moonves' office services for no less than one year, The Times repo
CBS did not immediately respond to CNBC's request for comment. A Moonves spokesman confirmed to T imes that Moonves had an office in the building but refused to comment further.
