If you have confirmed a Tesla model 3, model S or model X order before February 1, but forgotten or neglected to provide a referral code for 6-9 months free Supercharging, Don't Fear – You Can Still Do It!

Our own Paul Fosse has spent some time digging into the intricacies of the Tesla referral program, including how to get the referral code added after ordering. Although it's not as simple as simply entering the Supercharging discount code on the order page, it's not that difficult to get it applied afterwards.

Of course, the key is that you must have ordered your vehicle (or Tesla Powerwall or sunroof) before February 2. If you have already delivered, my understanding is that your ability to get the referral bonus has expired. Sorry.

However, if you have completed your order by February 1, you have not received the delivery (like many model 3, model S and model X buyers in Europe) and are now ready to use a referral code (min is tomasz7234 if you want to use it), here are the simple steps:

    1. Send an email to referralprogram@tesla.com (or buildmy3EMEA@tesla.com re in Europe) with the word " Reference "in the subject line. name contact information reservation number ]
and reference code you want to use (for example, tomasz7234 if you use min) in the body of the email.
    2. Send here.

You can't get answers from Tesla, but still it should be used. (No need to try again.)

With that out of the way, with your first Tesla on the way, you can wonder all kinds of things. How will it really work - charging, city driving, intersection, autopilot, touch screen etc. So below I give a handful of our core businesses and early lessons from owning a Tesla Model S in Europe. 19659007]

First of all if you do not have recharge do not stress! Just know where there are charging stations in your area and specifically identify some at regular destinations (grocery store, mall, park, beach, etc.). Of course, with a Tesla, you can also have convenient Supercharging nearby. Although regular superfix charging is not ideal and not really necessary if you have a destination charge. (In Florida we get it just fine and comfortable with a 71 kilometers 2015 BMW i3 without recharging.)

Veiturer is often easier, more comfortable and more relaxing than traffic in others types of vehicles, in my humble opinion. I drove with a friend from Poland to Paris (and back) in a model S, and I honestly believe that the model S ride was twice as nice as it would have been in a Mercedes, BMW or Audi. (Well, the back massager in a high-end Mercedes-Benz might have made it a close competition.) There are some reasons why it's so nice to take a road trip in a Tesla:

    1. The navigation system is brilliant . You just put it on your destination - even if it is across the continent - and follow the directions of the car.
    2. If you have autopilot, the highway makes about 3 × more comfortable.
    3. The smooth, electric drive unit reduces fatigue. It's peaceful.
    4. You should actually stop every couple of hours on a road trip. Many people (like me) think they are better off pushing and running for 3-4 hours (or more). But it's not really ideal. Forced to stop every 2 or 2 hours in Tesla, I am convinced that I finally felt much better than if I had pushed through in a gas mobile.
    5. power. The power, baby.

If the touch screen freezes up or does something strange, do not panic. The car is still running well. To reset the screen in a model S or model X (I'm not sure of a model 3), just click and hold down the two scroll bars on the steering wheel with your thumb. If you hold them down for about 5 seconds, you will reset the touch screen and solve the problem. (I've once had a problem with the speech navigation stuck in the middle of directions that an old CD can do.)

Also when the screen starts do not freak out ! You hear it shut and can panic thinking that the car settles down when it is not. In fact, even after doing this several times, it would sometimes freak out just viscerally. (I had to do it many times because we had underground parking in a parking garage that would cut the internet signal. Without the internet signal, Spotify wouldn't work and navigation wouldn't work. It would usually take a long time to get the internet signal back if I just waited, so I often had to just restart the touch screen.)

Tesla vehicles are wide . Actually, they are. Just be careful. And get room protectors. And always try to imagine the car is about one hand wider on each side than you think it is.

Get ready to talk . If you are in California or Norway, I think no one will bother you. Otherwise, there is a good chance that your new Tesla will attract many eyeballs and questions. You will be surprised sometimes who's interested in your Tesla. Get your talk points ready and maybe have a way to keep them fresh for yourself so you won't be bored. You can show the Easter eggs (a fan favorite), the acceleration, the best security assessments, the brilliant navigation system, the autopilot, the frank, the smooth music player, the series (the first or second thing most people will ask you), how easy and convenient it is to charge , zero emissions and gas-free life, regenerative braking, air update, car's excellent efficiency and so on. I honestly recommend a method to keep these discussions fresh for yourself, as they may be a bit old after 100+ chats.

Of course, you can also share these 30 ugly Tesla sales maps to explain how competitive the Model 3, Model S and Model X are.

Consider adding your car to our Tesla Shuttle network if you would like to take people at the city-to-stations once to a few hundred dollars, and / or add it to Turo, Lift or Uber if these options suit you.

If you have an unfortunate service problem, check out Tesla Service Options in advance. You can take your Tesla to the service center that delivers your car, but you can also get the Tesla Ranger to come and operate your car at home or at work. Of course, you can call Tesla about service issues, but you can also now communicate with Tesla for some things via the app or navigation system.

By the way, the Tesla app is amazing and fun. Things you can do with the app that I often found useful was with:

    • pre-cooling or preheating the car
    • locks and unlocks the car
    • control status
    • opens the luggage or frank
    • honking horn or flashes the lights ( especially fun to do while someone else is in the car or next to it)

You can also collect it and can now go there but I was honestly nervous to even try the basic option option . ?

Finally, you can use the app to turn on the Selected Model or Speed Limit Mode to limit what another driver can do when you take the car to the parking garage or elsewhere.

If you have a friend you get married consider giving up your Tesla as a wedding car. In my humble opinion, nothing else compares. The clean, high-tech, luxurious trip in a Tesla is perfect for a wedding anniversary. You can even use the drawing application on the touchscreen to draw a heart, write a message or otherwise surprise the happy couple.

I'm sure I'm missing some more interesting and useful tips and tricks. Maybe some other Tesla owners can chime in with their own thoughts, lessons or favorite things to do with a Tesla.
