On your site: Caution for registering medication

Registration for Medicare is just around the corner. Your site can help you navigate the requests.

Registration starts October 15th. A viewer sent us a letter they received in the mail. At first glance, it appears to be from Medicare. It is not. It's from an insurance agency.
When it comes to the phone calls you get from people who claim to be with Medicare, you have to be careful.
"We're just trying to get the audience to understand that no one will call and ask them info. We're trying to get you out there, go ahead and hang up. Don't feel like you have to answer their questions. They can tell you that they are from the government, but unless you have a case you first called … no one will call you, "said Stacey Childs with CLAIM, Missouri State Health Assistance Program.
Crooks knows about the new Medicare cards. A common scam they will call and ask you for your old Medicare card number. Which is social security number. Don't take the bait.
