Oil volatility picks up, puts the 2019 rally under review

Volatility picks up in the oil markets after a strong 2019 rally, which leads to withdrawal among portfolio managers for less risky investments in a sector that many investors still see as heat.

U.S. raw fell as much as 0.9% Monday before closing slightly higher. Monday's turns came on the heels with a nearly 3% sliding Friday, oil's biggest 24-hour fall, after prices earlier this week had risen to their highest level in nearly six months.
