MOUNT HOLLY, NC – A North American man has filed a federal lawsuit against Hardees after he said one of the chain's restaurants deprived him of his civil rights by putting too few Hash Rounds on his plate, according to Fayetteville Observer.
Tommy Martin said he believes that the skin color caused him to be served less by the side dish than others would get. Martin is black.
According to the lawsuit, a cashier attempted to rectify the issue, but a manager said he was served properly.
The lawsuit was handwritten and filed in the US District Court in Charlotte. 19659003] According to Fayetteville Observer, Martin said the event broke the 14th Amendment and gave him cibophobia – a fear of food.
Martin said a manager refunded him for his purchase, but he would still have a jury to hear his case.
