Norovirus eruptions cycle 277 on the Oasis of the Seas
MIAMI (AP) – Royal Caribbean The Oasis of the Seas returns to a Florida port one day early, giving passengers a full refund of the price after 277 guests and crew members were hit by an outbreak of Norovirus sailing to Jamaica.
The cruise ship spokesman Owen Torres told The Associated Press: "We think the right thing is to get everyone home early, than to get guests to worry about their health."
He says the ship will return to Port Canaveral on Saturday. It sailed from there on Sunday on a seven-day Caribbean cruise.
The passengers took on social media on Wednesday, and they were forced to board after docking in Falmouth, Jamaica, for what was to be a day of excursions. 1[ads1]9659002] Torres returns one day early giving the cruise line "more time to completely clean and sanitize the ship" before it sails again.
