More than a dozen people were injured when a Newark airport bus crashed into a concrete divider on a ramp to Terminal B early Friday, and tramped traffic at the airport and surrounding highways.
The damage is not considered life-threatening, said the Port Authority Police.
The bus was headed to Level 2 by Terminal B for departures when it crashed on Express Road, an internal airport road running around the terminals, officials said.
The ramp to Terminal B ramp 2 was blocked for more than an hour, but reopened at 7:00. Passage could only access Terminal B via ramp 1 (arrivals) and level 3 Passengers are advised to allow extra time if they go to the airport as roads, including the New Jersey Turnpike, are overloaded after the accident.
Flights are not affected, according to the Port Authority Police.
The police authorities and emergency workers are still on the scene at 06:45
