Nationwide CenturyLink outbreaks occur; little information provided by the company | Nebraska
Nationwide outbreaks of telephone and internet services occurred on Thursday, apparently as a result of a problem with CenturyLink.
The communication giant gave little information about the widespread, hour-long outbreak.
Early afternoon, the company posted this Tweet:
"Our network is experiencing a disruption affecting customer service. We understand that some customers are currently unable to generate tickets through CTL's help portal. We know how important our services are and are working to restore services as soon as possible. "
And at 1[ads1]7:40, Linda Johnson from CenturyLink's corporate communications, sent an update to The World-Herald: " The CenturyLink network is still experiencing a disruption affecting customer service. CenturyLink teams will continue to work until the services are restored. "
No information was available on the cause or extent of outbreaks.
