LOS ANGELES (WTHR) – A photo of a mother and daughter piloting a Delta flight has gone viral.
Capt. Wendy and First Officer Kelly Rexon were shown when they prepared to fly a Delta Boeing 757 together.
Dr. John R. Watret, Chancellor of the Embry-Riddle Worldwide Aeronautical University, posted the photo on Twitter after learning that there was a mother-daughter crew.
"There has to be more diversification in the industry," Watret said in a release. “It's crucial and one of the key factors we focus on. When there are more opportunities, everyone wins. ”
The viral has a lot to do because of Embry-Riddle's commitment to creating more opportunities for women in all areas of the aviation industry.
