MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – Montgomery Regional Airport confirms a worker was killed in an industrial accident Saturday afternoon.
Officials said the incident involved an American Airlines ground crew employee in Piedmont.
The Federal Aviation Administration confirmed to CNN that the incident occurred “where American Airlines Flight 3408, an Embraer E175, was parked.” The flight was scheduled to go from Montgomery to Dallas-Forth Worth on Saturday afternoon, according to CNN.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of the deceased,”[ads1]; the airport shared on social media.
No further details surrounding the worker’s death have been released during the investigation.
