“If the exchange does not use the security to borrow money, it does not matter what the pure reserves are. If each customer’s crypto is held 1:1 in proper wallets, it doesn’t matter,” he told CoinDesk via Telegram. “What’s more important is knowing the exchange’s debt amount. Knowing the reserves is part of the equation, but more importantly, what are the obligations.”
