Metro Transit light rail service back after ‘critical communication failure’

Metro Transit has resumed light rail service after it was briefly suspended Saturday afternoon due to a “critical communications error.”

Metro Transit spokesman Drew Kerr said light rail service was fully restored by 2:15 p.m. It is still unclear what caused the communication failure.

“We are doing a root cause analysis. Current information does not indicate this was intentional,” Kerr said.
