Metra train hits person near Downers Grove

DOWNERS GROVE, Ill. — One person was struck and killed by a Metra train Friday night near Downers Grove, according to Metra.

An outbound train hit someone at the Main Street station, according to information from Metra and the village.

A Metra spokesperson said the person who was hit has died. Their identities have not been released.

The spokesman said trains are again running with delays.
