McDonald's worker speaks out after fights over straw go viral

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WTVD) –
McDonald's worker, Yasmine James, remains on leave after a quarrel with a customer, allegedly a straw, was taken on camera.
The viral video shows the customer Daniel Taylor, now over the counter and taking James by the shirt. James responded by beating Taylor several times. He is facing battery charges.
James said she was not physically injured, but emotionally scarred after being left to defend herself.
"I had no control over my body when he grabbed me," James said. "Like, I'm afraid. Like, why are you taking me? I just didn't understand his intentions."
James said she had to call 91[ads1]1 after the attack because the manager didn't know what to do.
James has hired a lawyer and they are now working to hold McDonald's responsibility.
