Christmas has come early for McRib fans.

The elusive McDonald's sandwich is back for a limited period of more than 9000 American restaurants, announced the burger chain on Thursday.

McRib spicy, boneless pork, grilled sauce, onions and pickles on a hoagie-style bun – last appeared on the menus in November 2017.

It was first launched in 1981.

For McDonald's customers who prefer cow over pig, you're also lucky. On Wednesday the Chicago-based company also revealed its new value range – Classic Meal Deal $ 6. It launches on November 1 for limited time at participating restaurants nationwide.

Classic Meal Deal $ 6 consists of one of four McDonald's menu items – Quarter Pounder with Cheese, Big Mac, 10-piece Chicken McNuggets or Filet-O-Fish – along with any kind of soda or sweet tea, a small french fries and a seasonal or apple pie.

CEO Steve Easterbrook told the new agreement during the company's third quarter earnings call on Tuesday. He also suggested new breakfast menu items, as the company officially announced that evening.

Triple Breakfast Stacks are sandwiches made of two slices of American cheese between two hot sausage patties and topped with Applewood smoked bacon and an egg. Customers can choose what they want the protein to be served on – McMuffin, biscuits or McGrid's cakes.

"We will continue to introduce things to our restaurants because that's what our customers expect," Easterbrook said during the conversation with industry analysts.
