Marriott says data breach compromised info of up to 500 million guests

Marriott International said Friday that up to 500 million guests information may have been opened as part of a data violation on its Starwood guest reservation database.

The world's largest hotel chain said it was decided on November 1[ads1]9 that an "unauthorized party" had access to the database already in 2014.
