Facebook manager Mark Zuckerberg's personal security head has been accused of sexual abuse and making racist and homophobic remarks about Zuckerberg's wife, Priscilla Chan, and members of his staff, NBC News has confirmed.

The allegations against Liam Booth, a former secret official now serving as the Facebook founder's personal security head, were retrieved by former employees of Zuckerberg's housekeeping staff via The Bloom Firm Law Offices. They were first reported by Business Insider.

Booth has been placed on administrative leave while the Zuckerberg family conducts an investigation of the allegations. He could not be immediately reached for comment from NBC News.

"The family office is complaining about the workplace's default very seriously, and our staff team immediately examines all such cases," said Ben LaBolt, spokesman for the Chan Zuckerberg family office.

"The allegations against Liam Booth were brought to the attention of the office for the first time by The Bloom Firm after both former employees had left the employment of the family office and engaged legal counsel, he continued." As soon as Bloom Bloom Firm presented these claims, the family office has Munger, Tolles & Olson, an outside law firm, engaged in an investigation of all the claims of The Bloom Firm to determine whether the claims have merited. "

" The investigation is underway, "LaBolt said. Booth is on administrative leave pending the completion of this survey. "
