Man found dead in car outside McDonald’s in Portage
PORTAGE, MI – A man was found dead in a car outside a McDonald’s in the Portage area on Sunday.
Just before 12:30 a.m. June 25, police and fire personnel were dispatched to McDonald’s, located at 8050 Portage Road, after receiving reports of an unresponsive man in a parked car, according to a news release from the Department of Public Safety.
Officials found the man, a 59-year-old Portage resident, dead.
Nothing appears to be suspicious at this time, the department said. The case has been turned over to the Kalamazoo County Medical Examiner for further investigation.
