Man dies after being drawn from water at Lake Pleasant

LAKE PLEASANT, AZ – A 20-year-old man died after being pulled from Lake Pleasant on Monday afternoon.

Rescue crews were called to the scene around. 16:00.

MCSO's deputies say the man was swimming when he started to struggle and went under water. When the rescuers arrived, they were able to locate the man and pull him out of the sea.

They began life-saving measures before the Peoria fire came on stage, took over and pronounced him dead on stage.

Patrol Detectives say this is an active investigation.

The man is not identified at this time.
