The new 2020 C8 Corvette will not be revealed for six days. But to stay over, the Chevrolet shows the wheel of the eighth generation vehicle.
The image Chevy celebrated on Friday is just the steering wheel. But it is hint and insight that even this single image gives. For one, this new generation is unlike any of its predecessors.
The leather-protected steering wheel has the Corvette crossed flag logo as the centerpiece of two spokes. The controls are integrated in the wheel. Chevy also made pictures of all previous generations of Corvette. Here is a picture of the seventh generation that had a flat bottom design and was in model year 2014 to 2019.
Corvette will make his debut at 7:30 pm PT July 18 in Orange County, California. But it will also be live streaming. The stream will include Corvette video footage, a host of pre-shows and revealing presentation, the company has said.
This corvette is warmly anticipated because it is a good Corvette. But it is also because it will have a mid-mounted engine that has been rumored and speculated for decades.
After the revelation, this new generation of Corvette will go to a US road show, visiting some 125 dealers. The tour includes vehicle specialists and many interactive displays, and customizable parts such as seats, wheels and accessories will be shown.
