The union has sent a call to all GM-UAW local presidents, board members and other local leaders to be in Detroit on Thursday. These are members of the Union Council who would discuss and vote on a preliminary agreement reached at the negotiating table.
The council meeting is set for 1[ads1]0:30 am Thursday at the Marriott Hotel inside the Renaissance Center.

The letter states that the agenda includes a "contract update" and other items on the agenda to be determined.
These local union leaders will come to Detroit from 10 states where GM has union operations.
There is no word about a tentative agreement, but this may signal that one is near.
The council could also vote if they would continue the strike until a ratification vote of rank and file is completed.
