Kuwait Airways has taken delivery of its first Airbus A320neo aircraft.The national carrier of Kuwait ordered a total of 15 A320neos.
The first three brand new Airbus A320neo jets were originally scheduled to be delivered in March 2019, but deliveries are delayed until later in the year.  In addition to the A320neo, Kuwait Airways has outstanding orders for five Airbus A350-900. Furthermore, the airline is one of the few customers of the A330-800neo, the smaller version of the A330neo.
The airline's current fleet consists of Airbus A320ceo, A330-200 and Boeing 777-300ER aircraft In addition to the newer Airbus jets, Kuwait Airways plans to phase out some of the leased A320ceo jets that are currently part of the fleet Three of the airline's A320c eo aircraft, all over 28 years amle, is already stored and should be replaced by three new A320neos. However, due to delayed deliveries of the A320neo aircraft, the carrier temporarily operated with a smaller fleet.
