Kmart in Fargo closes in December

FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) – Just weeks after announcing that nearly 30 Sears and Kmart stores will close in October, the company says that around 100 other stores will have similar fates.

It includes Kmart in Fargo, located off University Drive S. The manager of the store in Fargo declined an interview with Valley News Live.

Public Relations Director Larry Costello said in a statement that they have made the difficult but necessary decision to close Kmart in Fargo. Sales start in mid-September, and the store is expected to be fully closed by mid-December.

Many buyers said they were not surprised to hear the news. The company encourages customers to continue to shop with the stores.
