Kings Island will not be a Six Flags park
It looks like Kings Island won't be Six Flags Kings Island at least not anytime soon.
Reuters News reported
late Friday that Mason, the Ohio park owner has rejected a $ 4 billion acquisition offer from Six Flags, the nation's largest theme park chain.
Reuters had reported earlier this week that Texas-based Six Flags was in talks to buy its smaller competitor, Ohio-based Cedar Fair, owner of Kings Island, Cedar Point, Kings Dominion, Carowinds and other parks.
None of the companies will confirm the report or comment on the speculation.
However, Reuters says the sources say Cedar Fair rejected the offer because it considered it too low. If six flags were to return with a higher offer, it would still be unknown what would happen.
Dennis Speigel, one of the founders of Kings Island and

He doesn't feel Six Flags would be a bad thing for Kings Island, and said it could add some of his DC Comics-themed rides like Batman and Superman, which are the pillars of the Six Flag chain.
