He lost a quarter of a pound at a time.

A Nashville grandfather who ate only McDonald̵[ads1]7;s for 100 days straight — breakfast, lunch and dinner — boasted of his massive weight loss on the final day of the unusual diet that began earlier this year.

Kevin Maginnis said he went from 238 pounds to 179.5 pounds — a whopping 58.5 pounds difference — by sticking to the fast-food restaurant’s fries and burgers. The 57-year-old became a viral sensation when he began documenting his weight loss journey on February 21.

“Hey, don’t be bitter while I’m eating my apple bread and losing weight,” Maginnis said during an interview with NBC’s Today Show on Thursday — the final day of his diet.

He explained that part of his secret to success was eating only half the food at each meal and sticking to water instead of soda.

He also did not consume alcohol or munch on snacks during the 100 days.

“Because I ate so little, I was always hungry when the next meal rolled around,” Maginnis said, urging others to “stop bad mouthing food” and focus on portions.

“Are there better micronutrients or macronutrients for brain health? Absolutely. But when it comes to getting rid of obesity, reduce meal sizes,” he said.

He claimed that his blood work has also improved, noting that his triglycerides are down 205 points and his cholesterol is 65 points lower.

“Can Eating a Quarter Pound of Cheese Improve A1C?” he told the Today hosts. “Looks like it can because I was pre-diabetic before, down to healthy ranges now.”

Maginnis has posted endless videos on TikTok about her diet to stay accountable with the biggest motivator for losing weight attributed to being healthy for this family.

The diet has become such a success that even his wife started her own McDonald’s diet on day 40 of his 100 days, according to a Thursday interview he did with Fox News.

From day 65, she has lost 18 kilos.
