Joe Rogan had his socks blown off by the Tesla Model S over the weekend when he also took the car out for a spin around the block
For a guy and someone who has interviewed Tesla CEO Elon Musk, it's a bit shocking that he had never driven to Tesla until now, but hey, better late than never. Ran noted that driving the model S was "one of the most severe experiences that had been behind the wheel of a car." That may not sound like the best commentary on the car, but speaks to the transformative approach Tesla took to the vehicle , truly designing it from the ground up. Being an old-school car guy, the point Rogan is probably trying to express in a fun way how much of a difference it is to drive a Tesla versus a gasoline car.
The center console is an LCD screen and the dash is fully digital. Stack on top of that the instant instant torque that the car puts down without making any sound and it can leave drivers with a sense of exhilaration that is clearly unparalleled. Rogan went on to state that it was, "Without a doubt, the most preposterously quick vehicle I've ever driven." Maybe it was so wrong that it was right? It is hard to know what it means to step back and laugh at how it relies on Rogan's hair clearly from the test drive. Okay, so maybe not his hair, but you get the picture. It's like the first time riding on a roller coaster – really scrambles your wires. Get off and being interviewed about the experience, this is the kind of thing you'd say.
Rogan summed up the experience with a personal note to Elon: "Elon, you knocked out of the park with this crazy thing. "That sounds positive. I wonder how long it will be until we see pics of Rogan rolling around in his own Tesla Model S Performance?
