JetBlue aircraft evacuated before leaving for Florida

NEWARK, NJ (AP) – A plane tied to Florida evacuated in New Jersey due to a suspicious case, the authorities said.

JetBlue aircraft 573 were to take off from Newark Liberty International Airport for Tampa when an air traffic controller alerted authorities on Saturday morning, according to a port authority spokesman.

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey said 150 passengers scheduled after the plane returned to the port.

Rescreening would happen to all passengers and luggage.

JetBlue said the plane was delayed for additional security screens with caution.

There is currently no clear which element is being asked for the concern.
