Jeff Bezos asks the disinformation board to fact-check the Biden tweet

Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos said the country’s newly formed board for disinformation should take a look at the White House after a tweet from President Biden who tried to link sky-high inflation with the country’s corporate tax rate.
“The newly created disinformation board should review this tweet, or maybe they should form a new non-sequit board instead,” Bezos mocked in tweet late Friday night. “Raising corporation tax is good to discuss. Taming inflation is crucial to discuss. Running them together is just a mistake. “
Inflation ̵[ads1]1; which took off the moment President Biden entered the White House – rose to 8.3% in April, approaching a record high of 40 years. The prices of basic raw materials such as food and petrol have risen.
“Do you want to bring down inflation?” asked Biden in a tweet Friday. “Let us make sure that the richest companies pay their fair share.”
The Department of Homeland Security’s disinformation board has received widespread criticism over its stated goal of combating disinformation on social media.
Its director Nina Jankowicz has been ridiculed as a biased hack, who has publicly talked about verified (and overwhelmingly left-leaning) Twitter users being able to “edit” tweets from others on the platform.
