TOKYO (Reuters) – A Japanese court on Sunday extended for 10 days in prison by exercised Nissan Motor Co. ( 7201.T ) leader Carlos Ghosn, facing new allegations of making car manufacturer debt $ 16.6 million in personal investment steps.

The extension announced by the Tokyo District Court means that Ghosn will remain in Tokyo's main detention center, where he has been limited since last month's arrest on initial allegations of financial default.

Ghosn was arrested on Friday based on suspicion that in October 2008, he moved personal trade to Nissan to make it responsible for 1.85 billion yen ($ 16.6 billion) in case of accusations, prosecutors said.

They said the movement caused damage to Nissan by having a total deposit of $ 14.7 million on four occasions between June 2009 and March 2012 in an affiliate bank account.
