Dozens of police cars also rushed to the scene.

Hibbs said officers stopped one vehicle and arrested both suspects – a man and a woman – inside. The man was charged with robbery, possession of stolen goods, conspiracy to commit burglary and possession of burglary tools. The woman was arrested for illegal possession of a firearm.

“There were a lot of people,” he continued. “The police flew in. It was like a scene from a movie. It was madness. “

Barrette was also concerned about the safety of the diners in his restaurant. Many crowded around the windows to watch the looters flee.
