Wow Air has ceased all operations, interrupted all its flights and abandoned thousands of passengers stranded.
In the early Thursday morning, the Icelandic airline said it had stopped all flights while making an agreement with a group of investors to acquire new funds.
But the airline, which banned Europe and North America via Reykjavik, with British aircraft serving London Gatwick, London Stansted and Edinburgh, later stated that it had "ceased operations".
The company said in a statement: "Passengers are advised to check available flights with other airlines.
" Some airlines may offer reduced cost flights, so-called rescue rates, in the light of the circumstances. "
