The Colorado Department of Transportation has finished shutting down Interstate 70 for rockfall reduction work as it does in Down Junction today. CDOT says the work will resume on Tuesday, but there will only be one-lane closures on both directions off the highway.
The CDOT crew resumed work at 6am Monday morning and stopped traffic at 30-minute intervals, shortcut traffic in both directions for miles.
