Here's your first look at Chinese Automaker Geely's brand new electric sedan you've never heard of

It's 1 o'clock and I have to get up in four hours to cover the Detroit Auto Show, but for some reason Geely decided I needed to see this very first look at their brand new electric sedan concept. Interestingly, the press release states that sedan is "globally developed" and "will begin to spear Geely's efforts to enter overseas markets." It sounds like a potential Tesla fighter for me.
The press release gives a bit of insight into the new design choices we can see in this teaser photo, including the unusual spring-like headlights:
The design language will use a "closed" front design language with the headlights designed around the concept & # 39; Yi & # 39; The Chinese word for one: "一", which allows the headlights to reach over the front of the car and up the front bows. The strong design of the hood also improves the wind resistance coefficient of the model, reducing it to only 0.2375, and increasing efficiency while driving. To increase efficiency, Geely's new electric sedan has moved to integrate the door handles into the body and will only appear when the driver is within a certain range.
The grille-free front fascia design, integrated / dynamic door handles and the impressive aero numbers reinforce the idea that this can be Geely's response to cars like Tesla Model 3.
According to the press release, EV will be "unveiled early in 2019", But it is not clear whether it refers to a production car or just a concept.
