Hepatitis found in Kroger frozen blackberries

SILVER SPRING, Md. (WMTV) – The FDA has found a hepatitis A virus contamination of frozen blackberries during Kroger convenience store on Friday.
This HAV contamination was discovered by the FDA as part of an ongoing frozen berry test. The FDA advises consumers not to eat and to waste frozen fruit purchased from Kroger and other retail locations packaged under Kroger's Private Selection brand.
These products are available from Kroger and other retailers and have a two-year shelf life.
The FDA works with the manufacturer in this case and continues to investigate to determine if there are other implicit products.
