Call me crazy, but in a market that's already saturated with power services – and not to mention upcoming alternatives from the likes of Disney and Apple – I'm more than a little intrigued by HBO Max. Apart from the confusing matrix of names (HBO Max, HBO GO, HBO Now), the reality is that HBO Max really seems to be a compelling offering. With a rumored price point in the $ 15 range, HBO Max will not only offer up everything available on HBO, but additional content from Warner Bros., New Line, DC Entertainment, TNT, TBS, Cartoon Network and more.  What is interesting about the forthcoming launch of HBO Max is that AT&T seems completely unknown to what is undeniably a crowded field of competitors. During a revenue conference earlier this week, AT&T chief Randall Stephenson looked to belittle rivals by insisting that HBO Max is so unique that it clearly stands out from other streaming services.
"This is a product that will be very different from anything else you've seen in the market so far," joked Stephenson. “This is not Netflix. This is not Disney. This is HBO Max. ”
While it is certainly easy to make fun of Stephenson's remarks, no one denies that HBO Max will have an absolute treasure trove of content, including the exclusive rights of Friends and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air .
Although it remains to be seen how consumers are taking to HBO Max ̵
