Global shares increase to turbulent 2018

U.S .. stocks were ready to open higher Monday, and covered a volatile year for markets among signs of progress in US-China trade negotiations.

Futures pointed to opening gains of 0.8% for S & P 500 and 1% for Dow Jones Industrial Average.
