Girls Scout Troop on the edge after the robber takes off cookies in Houston

Gloria Bejarano says her daughter, Maya Bejarano, sold cookies in front of Kroger on the phone line Saturday just before the end of the shift.

Maya says she prepares an order for the suspect when he suddenly snatched the bag and took off.

But Gloria says that this was not suspected the first visit to the table.

"He had come once to say," I'm interested in some cakes, and I'll be right back ", so he was already kind to cut us out to see where everything was and what kind of opportunity he had," she said.

Maya told ABC1[ads1]3 Eyewitness News she was shaken by the incident, but she and her mother are grateful for Kroger employees who heard what happened and have donated money to make up for the stolen money before the sale ends on March 31

After the incident, the girls spit in San Jacinto issued the following statement:

Safety and well-being of our girls and volunteers is our top priority. We were sad to hear about this event and are incredibly grateful that no one was hurt. We are also grateful for the expiration of the support squad received from members of the community.
