Full service resumes on Metro-North’s New Haven and Harlem lines
Full service resumed on Metro-North’s New Haven and Harlem lines Saturday evening after repairs to an overpass on the Bronx River Parkway.
Earlier in the day, the MTA informed travelers that the lines would see shared service due to the repairs.
Photographs released by the MTA showed the overpass visibly bent down the middle.
The MTA advised commuters traveling to and from Manhattan to use the Hudson Line.
Yankee clipper service for Saturday afternoon̵[ads1]7;s game was also suspended on the New Haven and Harlem lines.
According to the MTA, hourly service has since resumed on both lines.
As a stopgap to help during the suspensions, shuttles were deployed and staff were dispatched to handle questions at the stations.
The MTA still suggests allowing extra time if riders must use one of the two lines because there could still be delays as rail service returns to a normal Saturday schedule.
