Businesses want to show the teachers some love.
For Teacher Appreciation Week, which starts Monday, some restaurants offer free meals, buy-a-get-one free offers and discounts.
The largest freebie day for teachers is Tuesday, Teaching Day, also called National Teaching Day.
And teachers will not be the only ones recognized. National Nurses Week also starts Monday and goes through May 12.
Dates of offer and participation may vary by location. To be on the safe side, always check with the nearest place before you go out. Also, someone will require you to have a restaurants app or be registered for email.
These offers also require teachers to display a school ID.
