FOX 8 I-Team: Water fountains at Cleveland Hopkins to be tested after 6 passengers get sick

TAMPA, Florida – The services say six passengers got sick on a Frontier Airlines flight from Cleveland to Tampa.

WFLA TV reports that the sick passengers were removed at the Tampa International Airport when they landed and kept for observation.

The sick passengers did not travel together.

The remaining passengers were kept on the plane for about an hour after the landing. Those passengers planned around noon. 4.30.

A WFLA reporter received video from the aircraft from when the passengers notified the problem.

The authorities have not provided information about the symptoms the passengers experienced or their conditions. However, one passenger reported that it was nausea and vomiting. That passenger said there was a triage area set up at the Tampa airport for nurses.

All the passengers were also informed of what to do if they got sick.

Michele Dynia, Communications Manager at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, told FOX 8 News they take "precautions" and looks at the possibility of water fountains being linked to the diseases. Dynia said the water fountains in Concourse A at Hopkins are closed.

A source told the FOX 8 I-Team water quality will be tested on Wednesday morning. The source adds that there is no definitive connection between the water fountain and the diseases, only that all the sick passengers may have used the water fountains before the aircraft.

Frontier solved the following statement to FOX 8 on Tuesday night:

The passengers who showed symptoms were evaluated by medical personnel before they were released. All other passengers were released after a short period of time.
